Military consultations

From now on, the Lithuanian Armed Forces will provide consultations to businesses on a "one-stop shop" basis via email at [email protected].

This initiative is aimed at Lithuanian or joint-venture companies, startups, and research and education institutions that develop defense products or dual-use solutions. The aim is to ensure smoother cooperation, help developers better understand the needs of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, and create opportunities for the development and testing of innovative technologies.

Using the "one-stop shop" principle, interested parties can:

  • To receive initial expert consultations on the compliance of the products being developed with the needs of the Lithuanian Armed Forces;
  • To hear an assessment of innovative solutions, taking into account the realities of modern wars;
  • To become familiar with military developments and lessons learned (taking into account the available credibility mark);
  • To test* the created products during exercises or in daily activities, if this does not require additional financial costs for the Ministry of Defence;
  • Invite LK experts to participate in presentations of dual-use or military solutions at national and international events;
  • To evaluate and search for technologies that could become the most promising in the field of defense, security, and warfare in the future.

* Testing is possible only after reaching at least TPL 6 (technology readiness level). This is an intermediate stage that provides developers with the opportunity to enhance technologies. When products reach TPL 8, they can be certified in accordance with the procedure established by Order No. V-258 of the Minister of National Defence of 31 March 2023.
