Defense technology testing

Lithuanian companies, research and educational institutions developing defense products, have the opportunity to apply for testing of their products in the Lithuanian Armed Forces.

The main purpose of testing is to verify and clarify the product's operational, technical, and tactical characteristics, quality, technical level, compatibility with other systems used by the national defense system, reliability in operation or other important parameters, and to provide feedback from the national defense system.

Basic conditions for testing:

• The application for testing is submitted by persons registered and operating in Lithuania.
• compliance with national security criteria (both for the product development team and critical product parts/technologies);
• The Lithuanian Armed Forces have the conditions to test the product.

Selection for testing will be based on the following key evaluation criteria:

• product completeness (developed and tested in laboratory conditions);
• testing objectives;
• compliance with capability plans and defense technology development priorities.

Those wishing to test their products must submit the following to the Defense Resources Agency at [email protected] :

• Completed  application
• Submit a draft testing methodology.

Testing is organized in accordance with the Procedure for Organizing Testing of Defense Prototypes in the National Defense System, approved by Order No. V-258 of the Minister of National Defense of March 31, 2023.
