The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) centralizes the needs of NATO member states and administers an e-procurement platform that provides companies with a single access to planned and announced NATO procurements. In addition to standard, certified products, NSPA also implements new capability development programs, which also create opportunities for defense technology innovators.
Participation in NATO procurement
How to participate in NSPA (NATO) procurement?
- Create a company representative account on the NSPA supplier platform. Simply provide your name, surname, email address, desired password, and confirm your registration by receiving an automated email.
- Create a company profile (within 4 weeks of creating a representative account):
- Provide NCAGE code: Based on the NATO Commercial and Government Entity Code (NCAGE) registration data, the NSPA system will automatically fill in the official details of the represented company, which you can confirm or revise.
- Provide the company's financial information: revenue, number of employees, and other information for the last 3 years. You will also need to provide data on the company's ownership structure.
- Please list 2-5 company representatives and provide their contact information.
- Please list your company's activities according to UNSPSC (at least 5 products and/or services). If you have an NSN for your products, please add it.
- Please provide information about previous contracts if you have already provided products and services to the defense institutions of NATO member countries (optional), and confirm your commitment to applying fair pricing principles.
Upon receipt of the company's registration, NSPA will apply to the Lithuanian Public Procurement Service for the issuance of a reliability declaration. The company's reliability check is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the law and the established procedure. The entire process usually takes up to 10 working days.
Upon receiving a positive reliability assessment, NSPA will include your company in the trusted supplier register (SourceFile) and provide the necessary access to the electronic procurement platform.
The entire registration process is transparent, fast, and free!
- Participate in NATO procurement competitions: subscribe to automatic notifications about upcoming and announced competitions, submit proposals, and expand your business opportunities!
How do I get an NCAGE code if I don't have one yet?
- Submit your application on the NSPA CageTool platform, choosing the regular (10 days) or expedited (3 days) procedure - in both cases, the procedure is free of charge! In the application, indicate the company's contact and business information and the basis for requesting NCAGE.
Once the request is confirmed by email, NSPA will forward the request to the Defense Resources Agency's Office of Military Standardization and National Codification, which will verify the data provided by the company.
- When applying to the National Codification Office for an NCAGE code, please submit a free-form request, approved by your manager, indicating the need for an NCAGE code.
After assessing the circumstances and linking the company's data, the national codification office will inform the company representative and NSPA about the assignment of the NCAGE code. You can now continue registration on the NSPA supplier platform.
IMPORTANT: NATO procurement is also carried out by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), which is responsible for acquiring NATO's communications, information, and cybersecurity capabilities. For more information, please visit the NCIA website.
